At this stage of development of the state and society to observe the process accelerated and uncontrolled growth of information. The author focuses on its inherent properties - the ability to influence the psyche of the individual, which may pose a threat to human and society. In an article, it emphasizes that the vast amount of information generated as a result of cognitive interest of personality, with all the positive things, can pose a threat, have a negative impact, in the case of a lack of understanding of, responsibility for their actions. It noted the concern of the public and public institutions, information security problem. The problem of information security through the prism of the authors studied the categories of «cognitive interest», «responsibility» and «valuable relation to responsibility», disclosed in the philosophical, psychological and pedagogical context. As a result, in the article proves that the correlation of cognitive interest of the individual and of the valuable relation to the responsibility - a necessary condition for the information security of the person.
