In recent years more and more attention is paid to a question of decrease in level of the deliberate crimes committed repeatedly by the persons who have served sentence in correctional facility. This circumstance is caused by desire to reach the maximum extent of correction of the convicts brought earlier to trial. Taking into account the developed social and economic situation in the country, structure and dynamics of assignment of punishment connected with imprisonment in correctional facilities in article the question of a role of the public organizations in implementation of measures directed to resocialization of the former convicts and also on the prevention of repeated commission by the ex-convict of a crime is considered. The author comes to a conclusion that stimulation of work of regional non-profit organizations and public charitable human rights centers of the help to the former convicts will allow to define an arsenal of means of rendering support to them, will create possibilities for their successful adaptation to a new situation, for employment, return to usual life of the right obedient citizen.
