ON SOME ISSUES OF DISPLAYING PORNOGRAPHIC AND EGEOSCOPIC SIGNS IN DETECTING LATENT HANDPRINTS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The display of handprints on a trace-receiving surface depends on many factors - the physical and physico-chemical properties of the surface of objects, the composition of the fatty substance, external conditions and the mechanism of trace formation. The completeness of the identification of particular signs and signs of the papillary line in latent handprints using methods traditionally used by forensic experts, used both during inspections of accident scenes and in laboratory conditions, has a significant impact on the result of fingerprint examinations and studies. The article discusses and vividly illustrates the results obtained during experimental work on the identification of latent handprints formed on various trace-perceiving objects containing poro- and ejeoscopic signs using physical, physico-chemical methods and appropriate technical and forensic tools. Recommendations have been developed that will be useful in practical forensic work.
