The article discusses topical issues related to the integration of knowledge in the production of various types of forensic examinations. Special attention is paid to a comprehensive study using situational analysis in the practice of traceological, forensic ballistics and forensic medical examinations. The problems related to determining the place of situational expertise in the classification of forensic examinations are raised. It is noted that its status has not yet been determined, and an intersectoral methodology has not been developed that could contribute to a more effective solution of the tasks assigned to the experts. According to the author, situational expertise should be conducted by a commission of experts with special knowledge from various fields of scientific, technical and other fields to solve integration problems in order to establish the facts (circumstances), the mechanism of the crime and the reconstruction of the incident and the correct resolution of a specific criminal case. The conclusion is substantiated that there is a need for a unified approach in the production of situational expertise at the interdepartmental level, the development of algorithms for expert actions based on various special knowledge and terminology.
