The article considers the definition of a digital document as an object of research, the establishment of its authenticity and suitability for the production of forensic examinations. The scientific and methodological substantiation of the procedure for working with digital documents is analyzed. Much attention is paid to issues related to the development of elements of a quality management system within the framework of the accreditation of an expert laboratory for compliance with the requirements of the interstate standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019. The author defines the structure and content of the standard operating procedure of the quality management system. The necessity of changing the training and retraining programs for the staff of expert laboratories was noted.
